What's this blog about?

This will be the 93rd EWUG blog - and it has me wondering.

What should this blog be about? Should it (mostly):
a) Report ESRI-related news and tips;
b) Report Wisconsin-based GIS news;
c) Provide Opinions about a) and/or b); or
d) Just stick to EWUG-related notices

Post an anonymous (or not) comment and me know!

David-

I think you're on the right track the way things are, and I really like what you're doing. Write about whatever strikes you as interesting... it's a blog after all. That said, if you're going to emphasize more state GIS news, I'd like to team up in some fashion so we don't duplicate efforts.

I agree with Jim. However, I think a nice twist to it would be to ask for volunteers from the EWUG community to submit occasional postings on:

1.Projects they are working on.
2. ESRI software issues/questions
3. Opinions on WI GIS events
4. Technical tips and tricks

This would likely require more administration in setting up user logins so they could post, but it might facillitate more dialog.

This would follow the model of the Community Columnist that the Milwaukee Journal has. If you got 12 people to volunteer, that would only be one per year, per individual. Just a thought.

I would second those thoughts by the Jim's.

I especially like the ideas of adding volunteer bloggers.

Glad to hear the mix is about right. I'll have to look into the technical details with Blogger about having others make postings.
